About
Hello, I am Claire, a regular, somewhat average person who is trained, qualified and experienced to offer help and support to people, who are finding life difficult or may want to navigate their way to a sense of self and happiness or to reclaim themselves. Perhaps even to transform into a comfortable and more happy place that they are yet to discover.
My philosophy is not unique; in that we all know we have one life and we have a right (with will) to live it well.
I offer independent counselling and therapy in private practice based at my therapy room in Duston, Northampton.
The core of my therapy practice is to build a working relationship with trust and strong professional ethics. To create a safe space and time for clients to explore understand and challenge the route causes of their difficulties.
I practice within legal and ethical guidelines and my training and qualifications are endorsed by the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy).
My practice is integrative (eclectic or holistic) which means access to many resources including, Person Centred Humanistic Counselling, Psychotherapy (Jungian Theory), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Bereavement & Loss Counselling.
In addition I have a in-depth knowledge of dream interpretation and analysis together with Childhood development and the development of the personality;
how it can be impacted by the environment we grew up in or where we live today.
My role is to facilitate access to these resources, to help the real expert in the room to explore ways in which to enrich their lives.
The expert is you!
I practice with empathy, the upmost respect for people entering into this process, it is daunting and also extremely courageous.
I am committed to ongoing learning, professional development and keeping up to date with counselling regulations and relevant legalities.
